TRUST IN A RELATIONSHIP

In my life they are 3 major pillars that the relationship temple is built on; these are love, trust and respect. Today I wish to speak about the one most of us have a problem with and that is the pillar of trust. Trust is a verb and when defined means to “rely on” or “believe in” as stated by the Collins Gem Dictionary and Thesaurus. Most of the time when we enter relationships, we never stop to consider that pillar of trust and most of the time end up being hurt because we never analyzed our partner to determine the amount of trust we can place in this person. Additionally, they are instances where we underestimate and we do not place enough trust in our partner, which too can cause major issues in your relationship. I have been very fortunate to be at the receiving end and the distributing end of the latter.

I was in relationship where the amount of trust I placed in my partner was to a level where I thought she would have been a female Jesus…faithful despite whatever happens. However, I later realized that she didn’t deserve that amount of trust if any at all and to this day I do not trust her as far as I can see Australia from Barbados with the naked eye. Yes, all the thought of being in a relationship with such a beautiful girl had me blinded and left me vulnerable…till I was hurt. With her I was the one and only…the one and only idiot who didn’t know that I was one of many.

It was because of this simple experience I began to analyze all my other relationships and ensure that my partners could be trusted. However, because of this experience I underestimated one of my partners and did not give her the complete trust she deserved. Nonetheless, I always had the belief that no one deserves complete trust as everyone is prone to mistakes.

In this relationship, our level of trust was high so much that we were very open and transparent about each others’ whereabouts and actions. However, on one occasion I had reason to doubt that openness and transparency because of a simple (and I use this term very loosely) mistake made by my partner. The fact I didn’t put enough trust almost cost me that relationship at a very early stage. Let’s just say that I will never make that mistake again in any relationship and I will ensure that I always ask a question before I make assumptions.

When it comes to trust, I find that men are the ones who are always underestimated as women believe all men are prone to cheat. However, this is not always the case as some men only cheat when they are being cheated on…somebody said “two can play that game!” Furthermore, men in my opinion are more trustworthy than women. No, I am not being a chauvinist or biased in my statements, rather I am giving the facts as they are presented before me. Take for instance my first scenario and really think about it. The truth is most females are willing to step out of their relationships just because they can hide it up better than men can…WOMEN are CATS!!! Funny enough males continue to get the shitty end of the stick because they are the ones who put a lot of trust in their women too. Of course, they are the few like me who don’t make this blatant and what I consider foolish mistake as soon as the relationship begins. However, I will confess that they are some really stupid men out there who don’t see the need to cherish the relationship they have with ONE woman. Then again, I blame those slovenly and most immoral women who know the man has another woman but insist on giving him the “pleasure” he WANTS by satisfying him in whatever way possible.
In conclusion, I would say however, that they are some women who you can place the utmost trust in and you will have the assurance they will honour it and the samecan be said about some men...but at the end of the day both men and women are to blame for the break down of trust in the relationship

God's Love

GOD WILL ALWAYS PROVIDE

A poorly dressed lady with a look of defeat on her face, walked into a grocery store. She approached the owner of the store in a most humble manner and asked if he would let her charge a few groceries.

She softly explained that her husband was very ill and unable to work, they had seven children and they needed food.

John Longhouse, the grocer, scoffed at her and requested that she leave his store at once.

Visualizing the family needs, she said: 'Please, sir! I will bring you the money just as soon as I can.'

John told her he could not give her credit, since she did not have a charge account at his store.

Standing beside the counter was a customer! who overheard the conversation between the two. The customer walked forward and told the grocer that he would stand good for whatever she needed for her family.
The grocer said in a very reluctant voice, 'Do you have a grocery list?'

Louise replied, 'Yes sir.' 'O. K.' he said, 'put your grocery list on the scales and whatever your grocery list weighs, I will give you that amount in groceries.'

Louise, hesitated a moment with a bowed head, then she reached into her purse and took out a piece of paper and scribbled something on it. She then laid the piece of paper on the scale carefully with her head still bowed.

The eyes of the grocer and the customer showed amazement when the scales went down and stayed down.

The grocer, staring at the scales, turned slowly to the customer and said begrudgingly, 'I can't believe it.'

The customer smiled and the grocer started putting the groceries on the other side of the scales. The scale did not balance so he continued to put more and more groceries on them until the scales would hold no more.

The grocer stood there in utter disgust. Finally, he grabbed the piece of paper from the scales and looked at it with greater amazement.

It was not a grocery list, it was a prayer, which said:

'Dear Lord, you know my needs and I am leaving this in your hands.'

The grocer gave her the groceries that he had gathered and stood in stunned silence.

Louise thanked him and left the store.
The other customer handed a fifty-dollar bill to the grocer and said;

'It was worth every penny of it. Only God Knows how much a prayer weighs.'

THE POWER OF PRAYER: When you receive this, say a prayer. That's all you have to do.

Just stop right now, and say a prayer of thanks for your own good fortune.
Then please send this to all your friends and relatives.

I believe if you will send this testimony out with prayer in faith, you will receive what you need God to do in your and your families' life.
So dear heart, trust God to heal the sick, provide food for the hungry, clothes and shelter for those that don't have as we do. Amen & Amen

LIFE"S JOURNEY

LIFE SHOULD NOT BE A JOURNEY TO THE GRAVE WITH THE INTENTION TO ARRIVE SAFELY IN AN ATTRACTIVE AND WELL PRESERVED BODY; RATHER TO SKID IN SIDEWAYS, CHOCOLATE IN ONE HAND AND WINE IN THE OTHER, BODY THOROUGHLY USED UP AND WORN OUT AND SCREAMING "WOO HOO...WHAT A RIDE!!"

Not Just A Pillow- THE REPLY

This is a reply to Shaquille Haynes' note- "Not Just A Pillow"

i am not just a pillow...i am the place you lay your head.
Even though when he was here you treated me as if i were dead

you lay your head on this pillow...you say of him you constantly dream.
But you must realise it was me who comforted you long before him.

you sank your head into this pillow...but your memoried of him wont retreat.
You couldn't understand but instead blamed me and resorted to the sheet.

you tried at this sheet...it was brown in colour reminding you of his skin.
But haven't you realised this is the same sheet that had you wrapped up with him.

you turned to the sheet...it felt like the warmth of his body.
I wonder if you weren't warm before he came to make your life feel sorry.

you left the bed...it made you think of him.
But you would not think of the pain the pillow and sheet were feeling.

you picked up the phone...you know you wanted to call.
But you knew that he would just hurt you and cause your heart to fall.

you were jumped by the busy tone...and i am glad you realised
The guy that you were falling for was just a possession and not a prize.

you come back to bed...and decide that pillow and sheet were not your friend.
but it is this same very sheet and pillow who were with you to the end.

You cry in this bed...asking why Shaq why? feeling like you would die.
But I ask why Shaq would you waste time with someone who made you cry.

You sleep in this bed...dreaming, sweating as you toss and turn.
But this is one of those many lessons you have to learn.

You wake up in this bed...lying by yourself probably wondering why he made you so blue.
This sheet and pillow don't care because we love you!!

J.R.M

I wrote this poem for my girlfriend, who has for a while been an inspiration to me...since being with her i have never been so happy before and for that I thank her and God. I wrote this because she not only completes me but she also brings out the beauty in me and she continues to do that everyday. By the way J.R.M are her initials, Je-Meila R. Maloney and I thought it was a nice title for the poem.

J.R.M

As I sit here admiring your face so soft and sweet
I am thankful to God for letting our hearts meet
Your beauty, it flows from inside and expressed out
A beauty so rare, it makes my heart shout.

As I lie here thinking about your fairness and beauty
You should be called Queen and Lady not 'slims' or 'sexy'
You are royalty and should be treated as such
After all, with me you have that magic touch.

As I sleep here dreaming about gift God has bestowed
I am more grateful to Him and I am sure he would know
For everyday you spend time with me, so true
Every minute I realise the beauty in you!

As I wake here rising to the sound of your voice
I smile with confidence knowing I have made the right choice
Then I get on my knees and thank God in pray
For allowing to be with you another day!

As I walk here holding your soft, caring hand
Leaving behind footprints in time's sand
Making you the centre of my attention
Admiring the head angel of God's creation!

As I stand here caressing your lips with a kiss
I find out what it is my life had miss
A hug, a touch, just spending time with you
J.R.M. I do love you!

The Beauty in You!

This poem is a response to Christa's poem...The Beauty in Me...I was truly inspired by her poem to write a poem about her. The fact that it is not only her boyfriend who can see the beauty in her, shows that she is a great person!!

The Beauty in You!

You are that beautiful woman staring at me
One full of character, elegance and humility
For a while I have been admiring your face
Never imperfect, angel-like and full of grace

No longer should you dwell on the scars inside
No longer should there be darkness or reason to hide
You may have been a victim but it taught you to be the survivor
Yes, you are the new angel walking in God's favour

Your hips are a harmony of the songs of Africa
Your hair is the melody of a true India
The harmony and the melody is the true nature of your body
Yes two exquisite races together in harmony

Your profound love, only God needs to explain
Beautifully anointed the essence of your name
Your life a reminds me of God's love constantly
That is why we celebrate the Beauty in You!
